Welcome to the  
VAN VLECK FFA Chapter

Welcome back to the second semester of school and to a new year! We had an extremely busy and productive time with  Leadership Development Events, as we sent six teams to Area Competition on November 19th in Brenham, Tx. Two teams placed above and beyond as the qualified for state competition at Sam Houston University on December 2-3. Jr. Skills, consisting of Demi Bujnoch, Melea Polk, Erin Sekulic, and Amber Smith, did amazing as they placed third out of all Jr. Skills teams in the state. Jr. Chapter Conducting, consisting of Trevor Smith, Justice Brooks, Hunter Hutson, Kylie Pruett, Claire McReynolds, Alex Trevino, Hannah Harvey, Corey Wilkes, Lydia Pruett, Cecelia Morales, and Chase Meyer, did just as well as they placed fifth out of all Jr. Chapter Conducting teams in the state of Texas. We congratulate them all once again, and wish them goodluck next year.

We are all excited and anxious for this new semester with the upcoming events. Our students will soon be busy preparing for Career Development Events, the Matagorda County Fair and Livestock Show, Mother and Father's Banquets, and Speaking Events. We look forward to a thriving 2012 semester at the Van Vleck FFA!
